OKF Donation to the Coastal Carolina University Sea Turtle Club

In memory of the one year anniversary of Olivia’s passing, the OKF raised $6,000 between July 19-31, 2024. This money was then donated to the student run Sea Turtle Club at Coastal Carolina University. This was special to OKF because Olivia was passionate about caring for animals and she enjoyed being a part of the clubs at her Middle School. The Sea Turtle Club does their research and works on Waites Island which was Olivia‘s favorite place to go in the summer. 

Jayln from the Sea Turtle Club: “For our Georgia Aquarium trip, we are taking a total of 50 people: all 6 board members, and 44 club members. Payment for that trip included using money that we raised through fundraisers this semester and from the generous donation from the Knighton family. We could not have taken a fraction of the students that are going without their meaningful gift. Please tell them thank you again!”
